It's That Time of Year Again! Arachnids!

I hate 'em!

There was a giant one in my lounge t'other day! (that's why I need a man)
My eldest sent a photo of her swollen foot, a spider had bitten it while she was in bed last night!

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!

I'm checking everywhere especially in my shoes and gardening gloves!
I don't have a bath now but I check the shower curtain!
Peppermint oil spray stops them so I'm told, my house will smell like a packet of Polos!

How do you feel about them?

PS. Anyone posting pics of them will get severely poinked!

For some reason Spiders don't like horse chestnuts, so go get a 'conker' and place it on a shelf either in the bedroom or lounge and you won't be bothered by spiders.

I have noticed quite a few spiders in my house lately but l wouldn’t kill them as it’s bad luck.

What l can’t understand is, why people are frightened of them? They don’t bother me at all... yet if it was a mouse, l would scream the house down!

I'm the household's spider and daddy long legs remover!

I don't mind them at all although beauty is not on their side!
Last weekend I made a proper hash of capturing a spider under a glass and ended up squashing it's leg
As i threw it outside I notice it didn't even roll in to a ball!
And when it landed it didn't run for the hills either..

I'm a murderer!

I don't mind spiders, not actually a massive fan, but I can catch them and relocate them with no problem.

The teenage daughter of the woman I used to work for had a phobia about them and she wouldn't go in a room if she knew there'd been a spider in there at some point. Just as I was leaving that job the girl was off to Uni....good luck with that in student digs

I will admit I kill crane flies

Good! I approve of your P.S.!
I'm not going to look into this thread again in case someone disobeys you... there's always one!

It's bad enough having to put up with Tara's blooming avatar!

Just want to tell you this...every Autumn I collect a big bag of big shiny conkers and when I open any of our windows I place half a dozen or so along the opening. Always.
I know I'm tempting providence by posting this, but I honestly
cannot remember the last time...

You can buy Horsechestnut spray I believe so I might do this too!

People laugh but I don't care...like my lovely family doctor used to say, if it works..do it!!

P.S. and I always shake my dressing gown hard before I put it on, because once...no I'm not going to tell you, it'll freak you out!
And my duvet too!!!
Just in case any bugger has got passed the blockade!

It's a myth, doesn't work, a spider actually made it's web around some conkers I had on a window sill. I do have several pics of spiders but I'll not post them here, I don't want to be poinked.

Ha! That's so funny

Spiders have taken a shine to my Juke lately
Every morning I'm having to wrestle with a springy web on my wing mirror or boot handle
Itd not a good look...spider web sleeves!

Ah .... they only want to come indoors where it's dry for winter.
I leave them to it. I even dust around their cobwebs
Woodlice are the beasties I can't stand. They make my skin crawl.
