I don't drink (too much medication) so don't have multiple personalities. However, when I'm tackling my creative writing, especially the novel in progress, I can switch easily between my characters, who are all completely different. (Does this count?). This way, I can be whoever I want to be, without offending anyone. I can be friendly, I can be funny, then I can be an out and out utter b*****d! When creating my characters I didn't set out to make them what they became: it just happened. Now (as I say, when I get into it, not often these days, can't concentrate), I just love writing for them. One man, a husband and father, without warning turned into a wife beater and inflicted cruelty towards her, and his mistresses. I absolutely loved writing him!!!! He could do, and did, whatever he wanted.I have a mouthy and stroppy youth, who I'm hoping to redevelop.
Thinks: I must get the lappie out and carry on where I left off.
These are MY multiple personalities, probably people I would love to be in real life, who aren't afraid of what they say or do.
And oh yes, I have a dear old lady (modelled on me, who is not so old) who, in another work in progress, gets her own back on those who have upset her.
