Re: Catarrh

Well I'm much better now and no longer gasping for breath all day and reaching for Ventolin - that problem in itself is a relief.

Looking through NHS Sites last week after I think someone here mentioned it I found dairy products listed as being bad for catarrh and although I don't really eat any butter or much cheese and I only drink milk in tea or my daily oat cereal I do normally drink a cholesterol-reducing drink daily - so I cut it out completely.

In 2 days I felt much better but I also remembered Vitamin D as I'm sure someone mentioned that too here so it could have been either or just natural causes - dunno really!

If my list is up-to-date, Pholcodine is a not recommended for asthmatics Joe so I avoided that one but I do always use Vicks anyway.

I still seem to have prodigious mucus so I may possibly go and ask the doctor about my sinuses if I can get a Friday appointment next week.

Had I thought about it earlier I could have gone down there this morning and waited until I got an appointment as getting an appointment there is so difficult!

Thanks for all the advice folks! stevmk2
