help please anybody know what I mean??

can anybody help please with the name of a climber, won't say plant cos the stems are more like tree. It has large about 10" long groups of vivid blue flowers, similar to a buddlea but much bigger. In flower round this time and very heavy perfume.

It sounds very much like a Wisteria to me Hazel.

I think it might be a wisteria Hazel. They are beautiful and can grow very large from thick trunks. The flowers usually come in varyingshades of blue and hang down from the horizontal branches. Magnificent wall climber and it does flower at this time of year, but may take a while to establish.

thanks both that's the one it was driving me mad, I could smell it last night and couldn't think of the name.
