Don't need cooking facilities in the case of a ready cooked chicken and a bag or two of French Fries. Or a large donner and fries with a couple of extra pitta's. In both cases a meal for two adults and a couple of kids. No microwave - buy a secondhand one - a tenner max. A kettle - a fiver or so. One of the many problems with socialism is that people taking care for and of themselves goes out of the window.

A link to the reports would be nice.

No cooking facilities? Instead of buying two packs of tags use the money to buy a second hand but perfectly serviceable microwave and with the cost of one packet of smokes a second hand kettle.beggers can't be choosers and nor should scroungers or deadbeats.

Where?

You're making the mistake of confusing a very extreme example (if that really exists) with the commonplace.

As I have said more than once before; "Our media have latched on to this alleged problem so why has nobody - not one of them - done an in-depth analysis of even one family saying they have this problem to prove that the problem is real?"

The answer is: because it is not true.

Another way of looking at it is, where are these 'poor peoples' friends, families, neighbours?
Have they alienated themselves from them, have they moved away, are they all dead?

All I know is, if a friend of mine was starving for some reason, I wouldn't expect Boris to feed her, I would find ways to help her myself.

Their friends and family may also be in dire straits.

Re: Boris puts 20% VAT back on Facemasks and Glovess.

To be honest I see two issues in this.

#1 - hungry kids. They need to be fed without delay and to hell with who pays.

#2 - very rapid identification and solving of the root cause, neglect by their parents, to be resolved within maybe 3 months at the most.

And not just parents in particular cases, the whole bloody Benefits fiasco.

I must have been in at the beginning of school meals Mags because
our dinner ladies were dishing the food onto our plates and
clearing up etc, and had nothing to do with our discipline! Which
was taken care of by the teacher that marched us to the pavillion?
We must have been the prototype feeding system ??
Hard to believe its still necessary aint it??
