Re: Flooding.....

It's scary isn't it Bob I am just above the flood level of the river Severn here .

My sister says it is bad in Derbyshire tonight the Derwent is in flood . The churchyard in the village there gets flooded, my Dad refused to be buried there he said he didn't want to spend eternity laying in water.

Re: Flooding.....

That is most worrying for you and I hope you remain dry.

The friends we have often stayed with live very near the Don. I hope they will be OK too.

Re: Flooding.....

Gosh! Foxy, that is awful. Do hope people are OK & the flooding misses your place.
Our river was in spate yesterday, but we live on one of the highest hills here so we shouldn't get flooded.

Don't worry, we'll keep an eye out for you floating by and lasso the bed knobs quickly.

Something here :

Sounds awful. Let's hope the winds don't arrive as well as the trees must be sitting in mud. They are here.

Don't be so damned soft. You've heard of waders haven't you?

Seriously though, hope everything goes well for you over night and you don't get it as bad as Sheffield. Continuous rain is forecast until at least 6:00 am so the weather people say.
