Re: Diabetes.

Good for you Malcolm but I would say listen to those of us who have managed to control the disease rather than people who have not had any problem.

First of all Julie it is a 'condition' and not a disease.
My condition is under control too.
If you have had problems with the condition then I would love to know what they were.
Overeating and lack of excercise can exacerbate the level of blood glucose in your body which would probably lead to Type one diabetes with its accompanying problems, but Type two diabetes is easily controlled and has no direct symptoms in itself.

Well said, Julie. I find it a bit worrying when posters make 'authoritative' statements based on limited knowledge or experience. It is not a case of one size fits all...

Eggs are fine, Alan.

So enlighten us all...tell me of some symptoms of Type two diabetes, that I have had for the last 15 years.
I might add that I am not overweight and enjoy regular excercise.

Sorry I don't agree I have type two when it's controlled I am fine when it isn't I get tired, cranky, hot sweats, pee a lot, achy limbs all symptoms of the type 2.

Type 2 I have found was easily controlled but not everyone is so lucky some people have to take medication.
