I've never taken more than 6 codeine in one day, though.
Gasp ! Sorry you might have a condition that warrants taking them ,I'm a newbie and don't know your medical history.

Re: Dihydrocodeine

Try cutting one in half and taking that for 7 days, then a quarter of one for 7 days. Suddenly stopping will give you some kind of withdrawal.

Are you joking?
DHC Continus tablets are designed to work properly over 12 hours when swallowed whole. If a tablet is broken, crushed or chewed, the entire 12-hour dose may be absorbed rapidly into your body. This can be dangerous, causing serious problems such as an overdose, which may be fatal.

I find it so annoying that many meds don't come in smaller doses.

I so agree AnnieS, I have more than enough part started creams of different kinds, try them a week or two and they don’t work so try something else. Once opened they have a short shelf life.

I don't think you can say that Zuleika. If Rehab is on the slow release tabs. it could be harmful to cut the tabs up as Rehab has quoted. Also without knowing somebody's history and condition I don't think I would advise "blind" Leave it to those who know and understand these things, e.g. the pain management team or his GP.

Rehab. my friend, please go and see your Doc. before changing or stopping your medication - That's what they are there for. If you are worried about becoming dependent they will help. Don't try to be brave and "cold turkey" it - there is no need. Regads. Rena.
