Re: Burberry burn bags.

Is there nowhere in the world these days that isn't tainted with greed; malpractices and dirty secrets?

Re: Burberry burn bags.

The company [Burberry] admitted destroying the unsold clothes, accessories and perfume instead of selling it off cheaply, in order to protect the brand's exclusivity and value.
Chavy, I call it.

Well you live and learn ...

The company admitted destroying the unsold clothes, accessories and perfume instead of selling it off cheaply, in order to protect the brand's exclusivity and value.

I would never have dreamt that fashion companies would go to those lengths.
Makes you wonder too if there is some tax advantage by destroying a load of 'stock in hand' at the end of the accounts year.
Nah .. that'd be too cynical.

yes it is Mups the topics here change at such a rapid pace it's sometimes hard to keep up - but I came across this in OZ and never saw the original here - still it's another second reminder of the scandals of life and sometimes triggers off other thoughts
