jewellery making

Hi, Has anyone on here tried their hand at jewellery making?
I've dabbled and taken a beginners course, would love to hear from you if you've made something

Yes, I have. Mostly I work with Swarovski crystals.
There is another member that makes jewellery too.

What kind of things do you make Aud?

She certainly does, Mups!

I work mainly with silver and make earrings and necklaces, Auds11. What is your preference?

Re: jewellery making

I took an initial silversmith course and learned how to solder, drill and saw but I actually really like wirework, as opposed to wire wrapping, Linda Smith in particular. Have tried hammered wire jewellery and things like memory wire bracelets. Would love to see examples of your work

Re: jewellery making

Yes I made hair jewelry with matching earrings using pure gem beads and Swarovski crystals. The acrylic stick is turned on a lathe. They are soldered in places to hold them together. For a while I became a real bead hoarder.

And this is how they work. This picture was taken before I let my silvers grow in so is 3 years old. All these pictures are taken from an old phone photo album so aren’t very good
