Re: Suggestions for safe chewy toys please

This is Diego the platinum blonde and Peaches the short haired dog. They are supposed to be Norfolk terriers and siblings but we have our doubts.
As I said they are my daughters dogs but unfortunately she has a few personal problems at the moment so I offered to look after them. I'm not actually sure how long exactly I am going to have them for and to be honest I wish I knew as they need some training on walking on the lead properly and socialising with both dogs and strangers. They are nothing like my ex racing greyhound who was really big but walked so well on the lead and was so laid back with humans and dogs.

If I am lucky enough to allowed to keep them for a while I would like to take them to local obedience classes as it would make life easier for me, and also my daughter when she has them back plus it would make the dogs happier I think.

This is day 4 of them being here and I absolutely adore them both and little Peaches has stolen my heart although my son who has his own dog says they should be split up but would be willing to take Diego but not Peaches as she doesnt get on with his dog.

If I dont get to foster them it has reiterated to me how good it is for me to have a dog in my life and I think that I wouldnt have been so ill both mentally and physically if I had got another dog sooner after moving here.

Dogs are such good company aren't they MC.
Glad you are enjoying them.

Whoever told your daughter they are Norfolks wants their head examined though. They are no more Norfolk's than I am.

This is a little Norfolk, though sometimes they have black markings too.

Yes, quite.
I wasn't knocking them at all, Eliza.

It juist makes me so mad when 'dubious' breeders tell you anything to make a sale. It certainly doesn't make them dogs any the less loveable I agree.

It was basically warning about using children's toys for dogs.
Some have fillings that can be dangerous and some of the outside fabrics are dyed too.

Fine for children perhaps, but they were designed only for kids, and kids don't usually lick them, or rip them up and eat them!
Kids can and do!
Anyway, we watch the dog and get the toy from him before he rips the stuffing out.
