Re: Ticks

I haven't used the long nosed tweezer type for years, one of these is far more reliable and the tic comes out clean every time.

Re: Ticks

I've tried those roxy the rescue bought a batch but I couldn't get on with them and went back to snub nosed tweezers. Seemed I wasn't alone a couple of others found them harder to use too.

Re: Ticks

It's a knack I think, I seem to have it. So I'll keep using them when I need to.

Re: Ticks

That's the key to it keep using what works best for you. Elsie is fairly easy to deal with will stand still if she thinks we are trying to help her, Betty on the other hand is a squirmer so we have to pin her down.

Re: Ticks

I use frontline but any stray ticks I just pull off and flush down the loo.

I also have a tic remover in the car as Dageus is always getting them on his nose area, and I can whip the thing off him as soon as I see it.
Frontline. That’s it. That’s the medication we get from our vet. Thanks Rox.

Hopefully I will be more prepared next tick season. It was -21 last night so we have definitely had a big freeze now. Yayyy.
