We often catch spammers before they have a chance of posting on the forums Art, so most likely we banned that one yesterday. However if they just join up to befriend members, we don't know that unless it is reported.

I know I sent one out last week Art to the one called Minx because poor lass never had one friend I felt so sorry for her..
Has for FB I don't use it anymore for my private use, but I do have followers of about 1300 last time I looked on the Alpha1 information page I run.
I don't let anybody post on there ..

Minx and macywack, I found out some time after being on the forum that some people had the potential of getting their feelings hurt in regards to that feature, so I just don't use that option anymore.

I like to think that most of us consider everyone on the forum to be friends. It's certainly the way I feel about the membership.

No Friend Requests on here but that's probably due to the wording on my profile: "Apologies, I do not do the 'Friends' thing, far too much like Facebook for me."

That wording is only after there being so many problems at one time with Facebook, hundreds of people being spammed daily to my account via the 'Find Friends' and 'People you may know' links. Like many companies there are no humans at Facebook to complain to, just preset complaints methods. None of these work as they cannot deal with illegal clubs for banned dog breeds or the masses of porn that was also being spammed on a daily basis.

I was close to deleting my account it was so bad. It took months to get this spam stopped and only after me threatening to go to the newspapers did it finally lessen and then stop. Even now though there are over 100 people on the 'People you may know' link, that is a real pain as I know none of them. Many are from towns and cities in the UK I have no connection with, others are from abroad.
