Did anyone hear the news today about 450,000 women over the age of 68, not notified of their final breast screening?
Some mess up in the system apparently.
That's a heck of a lot of women left out!
It is bad error, but surely women know, or should know, when their next routine screening is due, and if they weren't contacted should have found out why?
The mortality risk is very small because only a tiny fraction of that number would have a cancerous growth. All the people I know with breast cancer developed it between 40 and 55.

My last routine one is due next year.
good for you knowing when yours is due but lots of people don't make a note of the date last attended because they are told they will be sent for again, people have trusted in the system, however most people won't trust it again after hearing this

More fool people who don't know when their screening is!
