Thread About Threads

What's your favourite clothing material?

I like cotton & I don't care if it's wrinkly because certain parts of me smooth it out

Re: Thread About Threads

I love cotton too AC, when we are together we wrinkle and stay wrinkled together.
I used to like denim years ago, but this fella I worked with put me off it for life, except for jeans of course great for working in. Anyway this chap had everything in denim, jeans, jacket, cap, neck scarf, he even had a denim hankie, he was never out of the stuff, Denim Duck we used to call him but it didn't bother him in the least, he's dead now and it wouldn't surprise me if he was buried in a denim coffin.

Re: Thread About Threads

Don't care as long as it doesn't need ironing and it 'breathes'.

I don't give textiles much thought. If the garment fits, is practical and is not garishly coloured and out of kilter with the rest of my wardrobe then fair enough.

Cotton, it's easy to work with although polycotton is easier to wear and wash etc. Also fond of acrylic wool, looks like real wool but washes and dries easily, easier to knit etc.

Kevlar may have cost lives as it allowed folks, who would have previously taken cover, to put themselves in the firing line and return fire, to the detriment of the Kevlarless folks.
