Re: Covid-19 Vaccinations

Hi

I was given my appointment for my second jab when I had my first.

They gave me a card with the date and time I had the first one and the date and time of the second.

It looked useable as a Covid Passport.

My second one is due in May.

Re: Covid-19 Vaccinations

My first was on 30th January and I was given a record card with the next vaccination date of 24th April (it seems a long way off ..... !).

I’m glad you have had your first vac Swimmy, with your poor health you can’t afford not to have it.

Omah ,not wishing to pry but this question is because I saw adults from two different households hugging today .
Would you hug anyone ? Will you feel free to hug after your second jab , which I have to consider those people might possibly have had?

I don't do "social" hugs anyway - I only do "romantic" ones .....

But ..... it's wise to bear in mind that even two vaccinations may not prevent infection with the virus - they will only alleviate the ill-effects and inhibit contagion .....

Re: Covid-19 Vaccinations

Where you were born and what languages you speak will be recorded both when you get a COVID-19 vaccine, or if you test positive to the virus.

It is hoped the move will show the government if specific communities are avoiding getting the vaccine, or are being disproportionately affected by the virus.

Overseas, data has revealed large differences in who is getting the jab — with ethnic minorities in the US and UK less likely to get the vaccine.

Would white British be classed as 'Ethnic Minorities' in other countries...?

Not sure Foxy, but the closest answer i can find is this.....

What is ethnicity in simple words?
A person's ethnicity is their ethnic traits, classification, or association. If your ethnicity is Italian, you might speak Italian in the home and eat Italian food. ... The adjective ethnic relates to large groups of people who have certain racial, cultural, religious, or other traits in common.

....so I suppose we could be!
