Re: Voted today!

I did not vote. I applied for a postal vote a while ago as I cannot get to the polling station under my own steam but heard nothing in return. In any case this part of the country has ever since Oliver Cromwell stepped down been Tory. Before the elections there were 71 Tory seats to Labours 1.

I understand your pain.

However, if you don't vote, nothing will ever change.

The result has just come through. The Tories lost just two seats to the Lib; Dems; They still hold 69 seats.

I three weeks time the Protest Vote can go to the Brexit Party.

I do not agree with those who say they are not going to vote.

It is important that we send a clear message to both Tory and Labour that enough is enough.

The power is ours, the ordinary person who can put a cross on a piece of paper.

It is up to us to use it .

It is our best chance in decades to use that power and make them realise they are paid to serve us, not themselves.
Absolutely Swim, the only voice the common man/woman has these days is where we put our cross on the ballot paper, we must respect that right.

Not so good for Labour in other areas and it may be that they'll lose overall control of the council to NOC.
Are you talking about me Juddy?
I would put an imogee up but cant be bothered to find out
how!

Re: Voted today!

It sems the two big losers this week are dumbing down
any brexit talk!
I have a suspicion that they will co-operate with each other
for reasons of self survival, and try to pass a modified Mays
so called deal through the POS HOC in time to stop having
to take part in eu elections!
This will give them time for more manouvering to try and
repair any damage to their respective parties! But will come
at a cost to the country, whiich is the lesser of two evils
to that sorry pair!
The time of double talking, back stabbing and U turns etc etc
is approaching, stay alert!

Hi

I totally agree.

I do not believe in No Deal, but Mrs May's deal is even worse.

It means paying a fortune for Naff All.

I am different to many, no issues in paying what we owe, cheaper than going to Court on it.

Our idiots signed up to it, bite the Bullet.

Paying another £19 Billion for a 2 year Extension which would keep us under the control of the EU in perpetuity is not on.

Beware the trap, May's Deal is not a Deal, it is a disaster.

It is not Brexit, it is not what we voted for.

It is a huge Con.

I am glad we are both on the same page swimmy
I share the same concerns as you about what could soon
transpire.
What can we do though if they use their current majority in
the POS HOC to push her crap through, using our so called
democratic system to do it, never forget 90% of POSHOC
are rabid remainers, from now on to be called RRs!
