slang for women expression

Why are women, usually young? called birds?

The answer is because they flit about aimlessly in any direction.

Often found suddenly stopping to peck at some clothing in a shop.

Spend a lot of time preening themselves with makup

Keen on nest building and having young.

Crow a lot about some article they have read

That may be some of the answers.
