Its good to try and avoid all sugars if possible.
I'm off to do myself a small salad now, as I had my main dinner at lunch time.
Hi Susie...thank you so much for your reply.
I take 1 Metformin at breakfast with 10 to 15 units of Novo Rapid, insulin. I also take 10 to 15 units of Novo Rapid with lunch and dinner. At bedtime I take 10 to 15 units of Novo Rapid and 50 units of Lantus, long acting insulin.
I have to take many other meds throughout the day and night...for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, spinal stenosis and arthritis to name a few...
I am fortunate though as I am still able to walk without assistance...
I am so sorry that you are having trouble with your right eye...
My niece in BC...is experiencing some loss of sight in both of her eyes, do to diabetes...as well as neuropathy.
When I was diagnosed in 1989...the specialist at The Diabetic Clinic...thought there would be a cure within five years...
I do not use sugar but rather Splenda Brown Sugar...which is ok because the clinic gave me a sample...
Thanks again Susie...
