Re: When I Become Old

Because the thread is old age and yes I've seen it many times before but while we're laughing at what could be ourselves in a few years, wouldn't do any harm to remember as well we're not far down the track yet, hopefully.

It's still out of place in the Fun section though hazel - as the saying goes: if we didn't laugh, we'd cry!

Re: When I Become Old

I was asking about committee members of clubs I belong to and suddenly thought hang on a minute Joan Betty and Dot are all 70 Joan and Mo are 78/79 even I'm nearly 67 my brother's 70 (I don't know how that happened cos he was only 50) how old are these old people they keep refering to, I don't know any of them in fact my pal Beryl is always talking about a little old lady or little old man she's been talking to (she's 71 and 4ft 81/2 ins tall). One of the ladies with learning difficulties is 60 and is cared for by her 90 yr old parents in fact her Dad fetches and collects her cos she's in a wheelchair. Old age is a state of mind and my minds in such a state I don't think I'll ever grow old.
