McDonnell's views on Churchill.

We had a similar discussion on here a few weeks ago - Churchill was an unconvicted war criminal and an incompetent barsteward who cost this country dearly.

I don't recognise your description, but in addition to being a barsteward strike-breaker, he is also an unconvicted war criminal !!!

Good Morning Uncle Tom
How easy it is to criticize someone when they are dead and cannot respond to the accusations. Say whatever you will, Churchill was our saviour during WW2. I lived through those years and will be ever grateful for his leadership.

Oh dear, never mind, from Churchill’s grandson

”Frankly it’s a very foolish and stupid thing to say, surely said to gain publicity,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “I think my grandfather’s reputation can withstand a publicity-seeking assault from a third-rate, Poundland Lenin. I don’t think it will shake the world.”
Both better men alive than you or your Poundland Leninists will ever be.

The usual sensationalist clap trap from our resident Communist supporting dinosaur.

Let's have the real story not the half baked BS that the Grauniad comes up with for it's weak minded robotic audience

Does anyone care what that idiot thinks! He isn't fit to lick Churchill's boots.

Re: McDonnell's views on Churchill.

This question seems to be morphing in the media into a broader question about whether a flawed individual can have those flaws overlooked in some circumstances. Did our previous enjoyment of, say, Rolf Harris or Gary Glitter songs suddenly become anathema?
Churchill clearly had some mighty black marks against his name but, cometh the hour, cometh the man, WW2 made him unimpeachable, or did it? He was soon ejected by the electorate when they got the chance.
We have this weird collective delusion in this country that somehow elevates WW2 and many associated with it to a quasi-religious level and any criticism, however valid, is attacked in much the same way as the typical hard of thinking brexiteer attacks anyone who disagrees with their barely thought out passion.

Stupid question to ask and he should have ignored it.
