Unusually for us, we ordered in. Chinese. To hot to heat up the kitchen.
Was excellent and enough for tomorrow too.

Four pork steaks. Nothing else. No veg, nothing. Too hot to cook properly.

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

I made a Bosh recipe tonight. Bosh is a vegan channel. I'm not vegan or even veggie but I love their simple recipes. I've never made one until today.

It's 40g red miso paste, 1.5 tablespoons of maple syrup. 1.5 teaspoons of cayenne, 1.5 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of veg oil. Mix up and fry in 2 tblspoons of veg oil. Add shitake mushrooms, fry, add shredded red pepper and tenderstem broccoli, fry, add carrot slices and spring onion and then stir fry until it's the way you like. You then add noodles for a few mins. I used the dragons den spaghetti as I'm gluten free (bare naked foods).

I'm posting this because we have been in meat overload. I've been eating tons of junk recently. My blood pressure is up even though I've always had normal bp. I feel so much better eating a healthier dinner. So I thought others might be interested. Apparently miso is really good for you and has lots of good bacteria (I found a gluten free version in sainsburys). The sauce was really tasty ( I added a clove of garlic) and the spaghetti was amazingly like real wheat noodles even though it's gluten free. Who would have thought of adding maple syrup?!

I wish I could be 100% vegan but it doesn't suit my body. Maybe one day a week vegan and one day veggie is a good compromise. Does anyone do this?

Had a delicious dinner this evening.

Sea bass fillets, with baby potatoes, glazed carrots and leeks with a little Parmesan cheese grated over them!

Hi

Great minds think alike.

I wrapped my bass in foil, after skinning it, with light soy sauce, ginger and lemongrass paste, home made.

Thinly sliced the baby potatoes, into the microwave for 5 minutes and then both into the hot air fryer, with the skin, to get it crispy.

Veg was Pak Choi and Rainbow Chard from the garden, steamed.

The last of the bass unfortunately.

I am not well enough to go and catch some more this season.

The bass was caught by me, so much more flavoursome.
