OK .. found these few bits of info about 'touching' rules in old pics (studio pics).'I am touching her because she is my sister. I am not touching anyone else because they are only friends.'

My daughter had a family portrait taken 11 years ago when my grandchildren were 2 and 4 years old. My daughter was standing with my granddaughter in front of her and my SIL was sat on a chair with grandson on his lap
I did wonder at the time why my daughter had to stand!
