Judgemental it may be, but I do find myself judging people by the way they treat not only animals but
Special Needs folk too.
Both have such vulnerability.

I agree too.
I would also like to add treatment of the elderly too, especially those in care.

We had a cat who decided to do the longest wee on the carpet. Thinking he was marking territory, I told him off and he ran out the cat flap into the garden. What I didn't know is that his kidneys had failed and he was put down the next day. Like you, I'll never forget it but I suppose it has taught me a lesson.
