I think it is wise for JRM to keep a low profile with opponents out there waiting to pounce on his every word and put their own spin on it.

I understand Cummings has no part in the election campaign he was brought in specifically to oversee leaving the EU.

A steady hand is needed at the tiller if the Tories are going to sink Labour.

I imagine JR-M is rather disdainful about elections - he probably thinks they should be restricted to he upper classes, the winner to be decided by popular acclaim of his (never her) peers.
