Something to do with limits of determinism, if I remember correctly.

Are those deltas meant to be sigmas, as in standard deviation, with the right side involving Planck's constant?

That's about as much as I can remember, and am proud to have done even that!!

Persactly! And yes. Sigma's. Rate of change would make little sense would it.

Correct. Thought you meant it, but that charmap had proven tricky on this forum

Could have tried using LaTex, but not sure if it works on here.

I have no need to Bone up on any of that, as it doesn’t interest me in the slightest, it’s just a “ head thing” if you get my meaning, each to their own though, if it interests you and all that,

Here you go Todge:

In quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle is any of a variety of mathematical inequalities asserting a fundamental limit to the accuracy with which the values for certain pairs of physical quantities of a particle, such as position, x, and momentum, p, can be predicted from initial conditions. (Wikipedia)

BTW, you have the formula wrong on the right hand side. x/4Π should read h/4Π.

My typo! Though as long as I declared X to be Planck's constant in the associated identification key although a bit unconventional it would not change the meaning of the formula!

I agree, apart form the fact that you have a sigma x on the LHS, which might confuse readers a little.
