Re: Home made dog biscuits
One more, and a really simeple one with only
3 ingredients:
These will go down really well if your dog likes fish.
I personally use Buckwheat flour for these. It is a gluten-free grain and said to help cleanse the intestines.
(I have also used Spelt flour).
Here goes:
Fishy Treats
1 x 200 g tin of either Salmon or Tuna in oil
1 x beaten egg (large)
100 g (4 oz) flour (preferably Buckwheat)
Method
Heat oven to 180 C (Gas 4) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
Empty the fish and it's oil into a bowl and flake with a fork.
Add the beaten egg and stir well to combine.
Add the flour to the mixture and mix together until you have a lumpy dough.
You can either roll this out and cut shapes with your pastry cutters ( make them about 1/4" thick), or you can pick up small pieces of dough and roll them into little balls.
Place the shapes on a baking tray. (If I've had made balls, I flatten them with the back of a floured spoon at this stage, but it's just choice).
Bake in the oven for 20 mins. (I turn mine over half way).
They will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Don't keep them longer as they have no chemical preservatives remember.
