Harlow Carr gardens, Harrogate

Had a wonderful day out here yesterday. The colours were rich and vibrant even though the day was rather dull.

There were lots of interesting things to see in the gardens. I love their use of living willow withies to make fences.

This lovely ornament - sycamore keys - moves constantly with the slightest breeze.

A sweet little Robin perched on a spade handle.

Last - but not least - a Giant - with my friend, Paddy, standing next to him.

A few more photos from yesterday's trip. We followed the 'woodland trail' and came across this beautifully carved Oak tree.

We also met a rather lovely caterpillar!

Heading back around the lake we came to a delightful area - mainly for children, I think, detailing how to entice wild creatures into your own garden - and look after them.

I find this one a bit spooky - don't know why though.

One last look before leaving - never could resist paths disappearing into the distance.
