You tube mute button

I don't have a problem but was just wondering why sometimes when you play a You tube video the mute button is on and other times it is off. Who decides?

Re: You tube mute button

Interesting question I always assumed it was because I share a computer and my husband keeps the sound turned on but I generally keep it turned off.

I don't think so. I was wondering that; Does it remain on or off since my last visit? But I remember when I was viewing Floydy's music thread, some had sound on and some had sound off. I have tried Googling but cannot find an answer.

I've never uploaded a YouTube video but perhaps it's an option that the person uploading has? Maybe they forget to take a look at the options on whether the sound is muted or not?

Yes, could be that too.

With modern smartphones, it's getting harder to take a bad photo nevermind a bad video clip. Even in default settings, the video should look just fine. DRM will rear it's ugly head though.
