Fur Free Friday

Good news ! Good news! Last week Estonian MPs presented a bill to ban fur farming. In the past year alone, Estonia is already the fourth EU country - after Poland, Lithuania and Ireland - to propose legislation against fur farming.

Despicable practice, but I still have no idea why it takes so long.. something else the UK lead the way on !

Fur farming is banned or is being out-phased in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Norway, Republic of Macedonia, the Netherlands, Serbia, Slovenia and the UK, while partial bans are in effect in Denmark and Sweden. The country to adopt a ban most recently was Norway, where fur farms will cease to exist in 2025. Furthermore, parliamentary discussions on fur farming bans are currently taking place in Ireland, Lithuania and Poland.

Fantastic news. The more countries that outlaw this despicable farming the better. What we need to do now is ban the wearing of real fur. If there is no demand for it, the farming might cease.

'Celebrites' such as Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Kim kardashian should be sent to a farm and made to watch the process of removing an animal's skin.

Good news it is being stopped in other countries, but......
Unfortunately we have mink in our countryside now & in nature reserves, breeding & they are devastating the native fauna.

Aren't the animals dead when they are skined? Are you proposing to slaughter these celebrities?

Damn you noticed the flaw in my master plan

I would do it with no anesthetic and just take a bit of skin off them, no need to completely skin them, I think they will realise quickly skin is better on a creature than off it.

Re: Fur Free Friday

we could block the proposal and use it as a bargaining chip for more concessions from the EU over Brexit

Re: Fur Free Friday

For every positive there is a negative.

Yesterday a plea was made for the world to know about the 4,400 dogs and cats that Egypt had just flown out to China and Korea .

We probably all know where and how they will end.

Such cruelty is engrained in these people, how on earth can it be changed ?

Re: Fur Free Friday

All this fuss about fur, why? Is it because rich people are the ones that wear it and Innuits. (Google is your friend) of course, although nobody is up in arms about them wearing fur.

I wonder why the same detractors do not attack people who wear leather, maybe its because its easier to attack a rich woman than an hairy arsed Hells Angel biker.
