As we have said before, we need a new political party.
This has happened before, remember. Around the turn of the 20th century, a new political party appeared in the public eye: the Labour party.
I'm not sure that it had £millions for its support, though. What it did have is a large number of dissatisfied people who wanted a change from the Whigs and the Tories and, later, the Liberals. I'm pretty sure that the early Labour party didn't have any support from the 'establishment'.
As it happens, we now have a large number of dissatisfied people, for different reasons today of course.
That suggests that, with enough public backing, we could once again have a new political party willing and able to challenge the parties presently monopolising the situation.
