Macron backs down on Fuel Rise!

So, Macron has backed down on the fuel rises he swore would go ahead in his quest to be the champion of Climate Change.

It seems that the French people, by rioting in the heart of Paris, have won the battle by rioting, burning cars, smashing windows, defacing world-renowned tourist works, two dead, hundreds injured, including police.

What does that say???

It says to me when Attenborough says the people are bhind the attempts to stop climate change he might not have been talking to the right people. Those who are affected by the rises in prices aren't quite as behind him as he thinks.

I hope the French will forgive me for commenting on their politics, but looking at them with nose pressed up against the window, it certainly looks as though Napoleon Macron has brought this on himself. He is so far removed from the people he brought in these fuel rises without a thought as to whether the French people could afford it! which like most, they could not. It seems it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Now it is not just a case of stopping the fuel rise, the people want Macron out of office!

Doesn't that epithet equally apply to Osborne and Hammond who, have repeatedly caved in to the fuel lobby by not invoking the fuel tax increase in the UK's budgets???

A pity that such action doesn't happen over here especially now that diesel is a full ten pence per litre more than petrol for no good reason considering wholesale oil prices have dropped in recent months.
