Hilary Benn amendment not to allow No Deal

nice to see Hilary Benn proposing an amendment that would mean we cannot leave the EU with no deal and that it is gathering support. Surely this will leave us in a position where Parliament won't agree the deal on offer and we can't leave with No Deal, so we will be stuck in the EU with all the things people wanted to get rid of !
isn't it time our elected officials stopped acting like school children and opposing things because the other side proposed them rather than thinking what is best for the country.

Welcome to the site.

That's very doubtful, all politicians are self-serving what's in it for them types. Bugger you Jack, pull up the ladder. As long as they get their gilt-edged pensions, elevations to the peerage and snouts in trough appointments to company boards they couldn't care less about anyone else.

We should definitely not be allowed to leave without a deal. That's the most stupid idea ever. If our government cannot agree a deal then then country deserves to stay in the EU as it appears we are trying to achieve the impossible by leaving. Even Farage has resigned from his own party. He must realise what a flop it all is.

He's left because of the direction UKIP is taking, it appears to be getting more and more right wing and anti-Islam. It's not the party he created to get us out of the EU anymore.

I'd like to know which other accounts you have/are connected to on this forum.

It's quite obvious this is a multi-account!

I disagree........if the deal is rejected we should leave without a deal then crack on.

Just because you're a wimp and frightened of your own shadow ( figuratively speaking, of course) isn't a reason to deny Brexit.

I agree that no deal isn't ideal but neither is it something to be scared of. Much of our world trade is dealt with on WTO rules.

We can choose not to impose tariffs ( seeing as tariffs are only helpful to developing countries /industries) and you'll find we will be inundated with countries coming at us for deals.
