Interesting interactions

Walking the ladies this morning I had Betty and Missy and Nathan had Elsie, all on leads. Wandering along and Elsie not being able to see well likes to follow Betty, so it was surprising this morning when we got to an over hanging branch Betty ducked under, Missy grabbed Elsie's collar and tried to drag her away from the branch.

Then when we got to the end of the road and I had Betty sit to cross I turned to get Missy to sit and she was hanging onto Elsie's collar to stop her walking into the road, she couldn't anyway as Nathan had a tight hold.

But it left me wondering if Elsie has her own guide poodle

What ever is going on the ladies are getting on famously together, only time we have to separate is when they eat, Missy for obvious reasons is very sharp around food, so we make sure she eats alone so she can't get at the other two. I am hoping eventually she will realise she is being fed and not forgotten so might calm down a bit around her food. But it's early days yet.

That's lovely Missy is looking out for her blind friend.

I have heard similar before, how a dog will guide & look out for another dog who is blind or part sighted.

Missy sounds like a real treasure, Julie, you will be sorry when her fostering comes to an end! Ha Ha Ha !!!

She is really making herself at home it would seem almost cruel to send her off elsewhere, that's what I'm telling the family anyway
