Whilst I agree with you about Russia and some other dictatorships Meg, with respect, this is not the issue - you are not comparing like for like. We are not a dictatorship and for that and our freedoms I give thanks. It doesn't stop us from looking like idiots though IMO.
I am not sure that some things are not hidden Meg. I am certain there is much going on in the background and some of it the politicians don't want us to know. All I can think is that there is some strategy to all this current debacle, although if everything is actually out in the open all I can assume is there is no strategy and Bruce is right when he says "we can't organise a piss up in a brewery".

Might as well rub it out and either leave well alone (my choice) or start all over again. However, IMO the damage has already been done to any credibility we might have had in Europe and the rest of the world. Sad.

Only a general election will be able to stop her after this vote.
May is the best strategist the UK presently has, is what I have said before.
