Heat is very soothing. I've been going to bed with a wheat bag wrapped round my neck & up the side of my head.
I'm pleased to say the head pains have gone now but still got the painful neck. I think it may be getting better.

I get a very painful neck after an operation at the top of my spine and the exercises - which I'm guilty of forgetting - make me look like an owl.

You’re doing the right thing imo.
