Go to Russia and all you get is Vodka, a drink that doesn't even have any colour.
Err, there's a selection of very good alcoholic drinks to be had in Russia.

As for ravelling wherever we want here, that is increasingly being curtailed. Only a little bit yet and only where there's unrest but it's started.

Democracy here? As if. Our electoral system is anything but democratic.

Actually Russia today is so far removed from when it was part of the USSR as to be almost unbelievable. Even in the days of the USSR things there were very different from how it was described in the MSM.

That's just to set the record straight BTW.

I think there will be seismic changes to this sceptred isle when Mrs Windsor or hubby passes on.
Charlie will have his work cut out, unless he takes the path of his Great Uncle David Edward V111
Devo I don't agree with much of your post but I am enjoying your style of writing, confident, interesting, a bit mischievous and with clever asides.

I agree about Charlie. He has been in training for seventy years but still hasn't quite got the hang of it.

There you have it then: the choice is between EITHER fawning over a gaggle of poxy in-breds OR a tyrannical police-state.

Your lack of imagination is staggering.

In a country where many people live in imposed poverty and sickness, to give hundreds of millions of pounds to this overpampered, wealthy by inheritance, bunch of parasites and scroungers is nothing short of criminal.

I can't disagree with that .
I am not a royalist and belive in meritocracy not a lottery of birth.
