My car was serviced and MoTd exactly a month ago today, since then I have driven around 40 miles. That next day the tank was also filled as fuel prices had come down. The last time I looked at fuel prices, a few days' ago, it was £1.08 a litre. Very different from the £1.22 previously, all due to supply and demand I guess. Plus there was a reduction by Saudi Arabia in the price of a barrel of oil, something to do with a 'price war' somewhere or other. Usual old story!With lack of using our cars I reckon there will probably be problems with flat batteries in the future. The breakdown services are going to be kept very busy!

When I saw the drop in oil prices I did exactly that and saved about £80 on the same amount of heating oil last time. I could have saved probably another £60 or £70 had I waited until now, but that's how it goes. You can't win them all!
