Some are a little loose, some are solid, the trick is not to break them, then you have to dig the remains out, but I've only had to do that once. lol

God! Respect! I know I couldn't do it.

Next time, would you take a video and let us see it in action?

Well .. I've pulled a loose one out, years ago ... after waggling it for a few hours .. but never had to dig the remains out. Didn't it get infected?

Thankfully, he did bung a bit of infill in it as mine isn't straightforward. It's gone under the tooth, else I'd have got one of these DIY kits. Never heard of them before.

My dentist still isn't doing fillings .... he's only doing emergencies (by appointment) and hasn't opened, so now it's rescheduled again from next week until September 28th.

It only growls a little now and then ... but if it plays up I have my pliers ready. I won't miss it.

Alcohol is a wonderful cleaner, so long as the tools are sterilised, I just flush the hole with neat bourbon afterwards and it has been ok so far, touch wood. I really am terrified of dentists, even chatting to one gives me the creeps.

It's the stuff I used and I can confirm it's reliable. Just poke it well in. (Ooh, er, Matron.)

Do you use a pair of pliers with a right-angled head?
I think the opposite jaw might obstruct normal pliers, not that I've ever tried it of course.
