Susan darlin' - that's nowhere near as embarassing as mine - had been donating for many years - finally got to my 50th!!! - sat drinking my coffee afterwards, lady came and sat beside me and shortly thereafter started to faint and fall off her chair, I bent down to help her and finished up on the floor beside her. Hugely embarassing!!!

Re: Blood Group

I've absolutely no idea what my blood group is.
I've never given any ... received any . and only ever had one blood test. (touch wood)

Re: Blood Group

I am the most common O positive, and many years ago, when I needed a blood transfusion, I was really glad I was, because rarer blood groups were not always available.

Re: Blood Group

I am like a few others on here and have the rare blood group....O Rhesus Negative. Again like the other posters it was only discovered when l was expecting my first baby. I was also given a green card to carry (I don't know what happened to it!!)

I also have Pernicious Anaemia, so l cannot absorb Vitamin B12 and have to have a Vitamin B12 injection every three months!
