Re: Peripheral Nuropoathy.

Hi Mups, i cant see any change as yet, but was told it cold take up to four months, im off next week to see the nurse so will ask about things then. Also on Glicazide and Amitripolyne as well all to aid my condition.

Im abl to walk a bit with the rollator but very tiring, not helped by the cold conditions. Just got to keep myself as active as possible.

Ta for asking.

Re: Peripheral Nuropoathy.

Nom it does take a while to get your folic acid levels back to normal,so you are not likely to notice much change till your 4 month check up.
I know you are not keen on leafy green veg, but if you put it in a stew you don't notice the taste. When I make a stew, I go through all my veg that is likely to get wasted, and just put it in the stew 30 mins from being cooked... things like spinach, cabbage and broccoli ( chopped).
I know you are trying to keep active, but do it in small bursts, like a walk to the end of your road and back. Then get back to a warm house, have a warm drink... and even a nap if you feel tired.

Hi Twink my diet contains plenty of Folic acid foods, so it must be the Metformin removing it, cant get warm at the moment bad circulation must be at fault, but i try to get out daily otherwise i feel i will seize up.

You will get bored if you don't get out, but just take small trips till it warms up. Ask your doctor about feeling cold, you have paid enough into the NHS, so it is now you turn to get some service from it.

If you have an open mind, you should try Qigong energy healing. The website is Qigongenergyhealing.com. This is an ancient form of healing that has helped me with several problems in the past. I am 68 and take no meds. I highly recommend this.
