Are you joking or no nothing about history.

Apparently more than you ... at this early hour I'd get and dilute your spirits with more tonic if I were you. You always get so aggressive Galty.

The rebellions weren't so much about Scottish independence rather than trying to return a Catholic king to the English throne. The Prince of Wales' (The Old Pretender) father was James II who was kicked out and replaced with William of Orange. Bonnie Prince Charlie (The Young Pretender) tried to reclaim the English throne for his father with the complicity of the French, France (a Catholic country) being an ally of Scotland.

Absolutely correct

The Rise of Protestantism in Scotland completely changed the old order and religion became the battleground.

Whether you were English or Scottish mattered far less.

People like itsme and Solasch today view history through the secular lenses of their own petty political comprehension of 21st century life.

That's the wrong approach to history.

The funny thing is, the political schism between the English Crown and Rome was at the heart of the Reformation here and The British Isles thrived as a result of the split with the Catholic Empire in Rome .

Correct .
Kind James 1 came to the UK because he was the heir to the English throne .

The position has been outlined quite simply and clearly by Mervyn King, former Governor of The Bank of England -

" [Parliament] voted overwhelmingly to hold a referendum. The public were told they would decide. And the rules of the game were clear: fifty percent of the vote plus one would settle the matter.
The prime minister and the chancellor at the time said unequivocally that Brexit meant leaving Europe's single market and customs union".

You know, I'm getting tired of this. Nearly 2 1/2 years after the Referendum, the Remainers are still doing everything they can to reverse or otherwise subvert a clear, unambiguous majority decision
There are 4 four countries that make up the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 2 two of which voted to remain. That's 50% in any bodies book.

Your maths is worse than mine the total number of people was counted not the number of countries. More people voted leave it's that simple. I don't remember any referendum used just the number of countries and this one certainly said one man one vote.

This what you said;

This country as in UK, and any bloody battles were many year ago, we don't consider them our conquests but our partners. It's sad the rabble rousing both EU and yourself are trying between our countrymen and women. We don't mean them any harm we see them as friends.

OK 50% of our partners voted to remain.

I can't see what you are going on about seeing them as partners doesn't mean they get more votes per head than English people. We all had one vote per person. Equality in action.
