A fun hobby

I didn't know whether this should be in 'Pets' or 'Leisure'?

Anyway, I have been messing about with some pottery Clay I bought, and made these doggy prints.
After I got the dog's to behave and do the imprints, once they dried I painted and varnished them and stuck some felt on the back so they didn't scratch anyone's furniture.

The large one in the middle was my friend's Boxer dog's imprint, then the small pink one is for my son's girlfriend. It is her little Jack Russell, and she doesn't know we took the paw print while she was at work, so it'll be a surprise for her.
The last one is my own little Gertie.

I have taken 2 more Beddie imprints for another friend, plus my mate's dear old ageing Labrador. Then another one of my own dogs.

I know they don't look a professional job, but they pleased me a lot to do.

Mups - those are lovely! A wonderful keepsake of much loved pets and such a clever way to make a personal gift.

Watch out for snail mail - I am posting two cats down to be 'done'!

They're lovely Mups. I have paw prints in the cement of my patio, from when some repairs were made to the crazy paving about 25 years ago and Lucy walked on it. Lucy is l-o-n-g gone, but the paw prints still make me smile.

Very nice, parents do baby hand prints don’t they.

So why not doggy hand /paw prints,..I will be doing my Jacks, love them so cute!.

I think they are a lovely idea...i would love to do that with my cats...they would never allow me though.
