Well, at least they did a good job defeating the government's plans to reduce ESA by £30 a week in order to force disabled people back to work! Baroness Tanni Grey -Thompson gave an emotive speech against it and helped them decide.

Maybe so, but we can do that just as effectively with an ELECTED second chamber as was done with an Appointed one, in fact probably far better, since being elected they will know they have the support of their constituents - the people.
