Clearly you have no nautical bent and don't know how to test the wind, since p*ssing into the wind will result in you receiving your own back in your face.

Re: French Fishermen attack our Boats

I watched both skippers of the fishing vessels give an interview today. They were both visibly shaken at the ferocity of the attack by the French. They said that there was a French Navy Vessel present but they did absolutely nothing to stop the attacks with rocks, flares and ramming of their boats until they had no choice other than to retreat. two of our boats against 35 French vessels with the French Navy doing zilch, is a little bit one-sided, even for our men.

Then the tv presenter cut to the words of the Fishing Industry Leaders whose job it is to represent our fishermen. Their first words were "We will be on the next train or plane to France to negotiate".

Do you ever get the feeling that Britain is being used as a punchbag by the EU? Is it any wonder we have become the laughing stock to many when we have such craven people running every facet of authority in this country.
We seem to be ruled by cowards.

Re: French Fishermen attack our Boats

Hi

If we had any decent Politicians I would not have voted Leave.

The French are just being French, they take absolutely no notice of the EU unless it suits them.

They also know that our useless wimps of Politicians will do nothing about this.

You do not see any French vessels inshore fishing off the coast of North Africa, primarily because they would get sunk.

You do not see any fishing in the Polish Waters in the Baltic.

The Polish are very pragmatic, they don't go around sinking fishing vessels, they do however have a detailed knowledge of the vast numbers of EU Rules covering fishing vessels,

If they find an infringement, the vessel is seized and then auctioned off.

If they do not find any infringements the fishing vessel is released, it can take over a week to inspect a French fishing vessel, every single fish is measured, as is every single mesh in the nets.

This takes days to do, by which time the catch has gone bad and is valueless, with no compensation payable.

We have a lot to learn.
