Are you ready for ....?

You-know-what?

We did the last minute fresh food shop yesterday, so other than collecting the goose on xmas eve, we're done. It will be a bit of a shame if the weather really closes in and I can't even walk to the butcher ... I'd have to raid the freezer. Sausages with prunes in Armagnac and braised red cabbage? Doesn't sound that bad, does it?

Re: Are you ready for ....?

More or less ready .. not that I have done much this year and of the few gifts I have bought I am keeping one for myself because it is just what I want and far too nice to give away. Nothing to say you can't buy yourself a Christmas gift is there, I bet it will be the best one I get .

Just wondering if I will make it to the farm shop for the meat with all the ice on the roads if not it will have to be steak pie on Christmas day but at least we won't starve

Re: Are you ready for ....?

I went out and bought enough milk for the week this morning and that is me finished. I will be eating at my daughter's on Christmas Day and alone the rest of the holiday so something from the freezer will do. I certainly won't starve.

Well we`ve already started. Otherwise I find it all a bit much. The Quality Streets`s gone...and I`ve got my eye on the cheese and pickles now.

Re: Are you ready for ....?

All gifts are wrapped and ready for distribution, the food and drink are laid in, just fresh bread to get on Christmas Eve along with some more milk and we're away... Been busy baking today...

Think I've got the Christmas spirit now...

'Tis the time to be jolly, tralalalala.....'

I haven't even started yet!! I leave everything to the last minute!! Not having a family, I don't bother much. Got the parrots food and Loki's food and that's the main thing

Hope you all a lovely time

Did the big grocery shop yesterday. Today's the booze, and animal food and treats and toys too.
Tomorrow's the turkey, fresh veggies and fruit, cream etc.
Just finished baking phyllo sausage rolls, and am in the midst of making mini quiches while listening to Christmas music!
All this for 2 humans! But we're worth it!!
