Re: Changing the clocks ?

This weekend's clock change and the next one in the autumn are shown on the link below. Plus some interesting information about EU plans to scrap DST (Daylight Savings Time):

Re: Changing the clocks ?

I've got a watch that tells me the sunrise and sunset times....not a smartwatch just a Casio. You input your latitude and longitude and it shows up with the correct times. It was £60 which to me was quite reasonable given that it also has a thermometer and a compass.

The thermometer is only accurate off the wrist though. Come Saturday night I'll switch DST off, the watch isn't radio controlled, but it's an interesting and inexpensive piece to add to my collection. It also tells you how old the moon is. It's probably a watch aimed at the photographer and others who enjoy an outdoors type of life. I'll post a photo later when I'm not sat in a waiting room.

Re: Changing the clocks ?

Clocks go back on 7th April and the whole east coast will once again be on the same time. Thank gawd!

Daylight savings are all very well for people living in the twilight zones at either end of the planet but they go on at least a month too long for people living less than 40° from the equator.

I'm sure I read something recently about the EU deciding to ditch this 'daylight saving' nonsense.

I don't know whether it will happen, but at last something I agree with the EU about!

I bet I forget. I always do, my phones automatically update, it will throw me into confusion, it doesn't take much with me.

I believe I heard something about that too, JBR.
They were saying they have to decide which way to leave it though, an hour forward or hour back.
