Why the House of Lords May Save the Day

What could happen is this ....

The Eurosceptic peers in the house of lords are filibustering Yvette Cooper -Balls bill until they find out next week what extension is offered. If May gets 12 months or longer it will be rejected because we will have to join the EU Elections. If this happens the lords will pass the bill because May will have done what the bill asks her to do. But ... if the EU accept the June 30 she asks for then the Lords could filibuster Cooper-Balls bill some more until we crash out on the 12 April or waste even worse time by passing it back to the commons for revisions. If this happens it will be parliament that causes us to crash out as their will be simply not enough time to debate and vote etc.

If this happens and here is the kicker ... the House of Lords that just about everyone in the UK want to get rid of will instantly obtain a 17.4 million vote majority to keep.

The irony is eye watering... if it goes back to the commons for revisions and there is no time to debate and re-approve Cooper Balls/Letwins Bill, it will be all blamed in Yvette Cooper Balls and Oliver Letwin for coming up with it in the first place .... you couldn't make it up if you tried

Typical scumbag 'nasty party' statement. Looking down on the people and seriously under-estimating their innate intelligence. If the HoL do, as you say, they will be nailing up their own coffins, since that will be a precisely good reason for its total abolition, and whilst as Prime MMinister Jeremy Corbyn is about it, he might get round to abolishing the monarchy too and finally getting rid of Mrs Windsor, Charlie the turd, and the rest of the leeches.

As the world and his wife keep telling us, Jeremy Corbyn is a Marxist. So too am I, and we want and desire a truly democratic Government, which demands the abolition of HoL and the monarchy too.

Ideologies responsible for the death of about 100 million people is not the answer UJ.

The 1970s weren't exactly the good old days were they

Thanks for the prognosis Bread, it confirms most of my
own vague conclusions in a more understandable format
I also beleive the HOL is likely to appear to support the
people, for obvious reasons, but l dont trust them, it is out
of character. You are correct, nobody could make all this
crap up!
The only thing that could save us is if we get 3- 4 days
of rain in the next 2 weeks.
I beleive the POS HOC's roof is not to good.

Alternatively, it might scare the HoC enough to revoke article 50. Ending this painful episode in british history?
