If this happens the lords will pass the bill because May will have done what the bill asks her to do. But ... if the EU accept the June 30 she asks for then the Lords could filibuster Cooper-Balls bill some more until we crash out on the 12 April or waste even worse time by passing it back to the commons for revisions. If this happens it will be parliament that causes us to crash out as their will be simply not enough time to debate and vote etc.
If this happens and here is the kicker ... the House of Lords that just about everyone in the UK want to get rid of will instantly obtain a 17.4 million vote majority to keep.
The irony is eye watering... if it goes back to the commons for revisions and there is no time to debate and re-approve Cooper Balls/Letwins Bill, it will be all blamed in Yvette Cooper Balls and Oliver Letwin for coming up with it in the first place .... you couldn't make it up if you tried
Thanks for the prognosis Bread, it confirms most of my
own vague conclusions in a more understandable format
I also beleive the HOL is likely to appear to support the
people, for obvious reasons, but l dont trust them, it is out
of character. You are correct, nobody could make all this
crap up!
The only thing that could save us is if we get 3- 4 days
of rain in the next 2 weeks.
I beleive the POS HOC's roof is not to good.
