Re: Those Irish will ruin brexit

There are interesting comments about this, and other aspects of Brexit on www.order-order.com
Much more positive than the Brexit Bashing Broadcasting Corporation

It would be most annoying, to put it mildly, if what Ireland wants or does not want, or their squabbles should have a detrimental effect on the rest of Britain

Nobody has milked the cream from the EU more than Southern Ireland and we have been the cow. Agree with N. Ireland being the end of our Brexit hopes.

In the words of that song ...

Do I stay or do I go?
If I leave there will be trouble
If I stay it will be double

When we used to be a democratic country, around the 1920 time, and the Irish demanded independence, we asked them to choose - democratically - whether the people would like to split from the UK.

The Irish made a democratic decision. The outcome was that the predominantly Cat Lick south wanted to split from us, and the predominantly Proddy Dog north wanted to remain in the Union.

That's democracy. You know, that thing we used to have in this country.

'Democracy',JBR?

Ohhhh,yes-I've heard of that.
Was it not that thing where a person stood for election having stated his/her political viewpoints and priorities-then,upon being elected, stood up for the wants/needs/desires of the people who'd elected them?

Hmm...I thought that was just a fairytale...
