We are thinking about getting a cat. Max is generally good with them but we are not sure how he would be with one sharing his domain.

The only time I have ever been bitten by a dog was entirely my own fault. He was a beautiful German Shepherd - one I had not met before - stupidly I approached from behind him and stroked his head. He turned and sank his teeth into my hand.What I had not realised was - the poor dog was deaf - so I must have frightened him and he, quite rightly, defended himself. I should have waited until I was passed him, let him smell my hand and then stroked him.
His owner was shocked and wanted to take me to A&E - but I refused as I was concerned that if they realised it was a dog bite they might blame the dog and cause problems.
